Animate 1 Final Exam (Performance Based)

 

Select 3 projects from the choices below and complete the task in Animate. Save the file with the file name: FinalProject(Question#). Save the project as both an Animate file and Publish for the web.

For Example: FinalProject3 if I select number 3 below

Save all your work to your Google Drive folder, into a folder called FINAL. You will need all files, images, sounds etc so you may want to zip files then upload.

 

 

  1. You have been asked to create a short interactive animation on ocean life for the local elementary school, which is planning a visit to an oceanographic institute. This project should be colorful, interactive, and full of images, in order to appeal to 7-10 year old children. The opening page of the site should show some images of sea creatures which when clicked, provide more information. You must include at least three clickable objects on this opening page.
    1. Obtain some images of ocean creatures from the Internet.
    2. Create a new Animate Document, name as above.
    3. Set the document properties including the size and background color, if desired.
    4. Create animations for at least three life forms. Try to use as many different types of animation as you can think of.
    5. Create buttons to go to more information and images.
    6. Add some explanatory text.

 

  1. You work in the multimedia department of a university. A professor asks you to build an interactive study guide in Animate that includes a series of test questions. The professor would like to see a prototype of a multiple choice style test question with 2 choices, similar to the following:

            What is the periodic symbol of oxygen?

1.      Ox

2.      O

The professor would like you to build in feedback telling students whether the answer they supply is correct or incorrect.

a.       Create a new Animate Document, name as above.

b.      Set the document properties including size and background color, if desired.

c.       Use the Text tool to create a multiple choice style question of your own. The question should have two choices.

d.      Create button that can be clicked to answer.

e.       Create two feedback screens. One screen should indicate an answer is correct, and the other that an answer is incorrect.

f.        Include at least 3 questions. Return the student to the start at the end of the questions.

  1. You have been asked to create several sample designs for the new homepage of a new student art, poetry, and fiction anthology called AnthoArt. This website will showcase artwork that includes painting, woodcuts, and photography, as well as poetry and fiction.
    1. Obtain some appropriate images from the Internet.
    2. Create a new Animate Document, name as above.
    3. Create a eye catching document to display at least 4 images of art. Create animations for each.
    4. Create a title of AnthoArt.
    5. Create an enter button.
    6. Link the Enter button to another scene then create a button back to the start. You decide what happens on the second scene.

 

  1. You have been asked to create an Animate movie for the JAM Basketball website. The movie is to highlight the High Intensity Hoops Clinic. Use this website for info: Jam Ball Brochure
    1. Obtain some appropriate images from the Internet.
    2. Create a new Animate Document, name as above.
    3. Set the document properties including size and background color, if desired.
    4. Create a title of JAM High Intensity Hoops, use unique text.
    5. Create an animated text piece.
    6. Create at least 3 animations and 2 triggers.
    1. Include details on the Clinic.
  1. Create a simple interactive Animate file of your choice. It must be different from your personal assignments (created just for the test). The animation should include elements that are controlled by the end user.

Technically, the piece must incorporate the following items:

    1. At least one button.
    2. The button(s) must cause and use an event.
    3. A minimum of four points of user interaction.
    4. Use of simple scripting for triggers, events and actions.
