Pre-Civil Engineering
This broad project-based curriculum teaches civil engineering concepts. The curriculum covers four overarching concepts, including land development/site design, environmental design, transportation design, and geospatial information. The documents present engineering design principles using various information modeling techniques and sustainable design methodologies. The curriculum logically guides students through engineering concepts and techniques based on real project data and design criteria. At the end of the pre-civil engineering course, students will have a better understanding of how to use information modeling in civil engineering design.

Personal Assignment: Use this image to expand the school campus and improve our landscaping and parking. Imagine we have the ability to purchase the parcel of land to the north of us. What would you use it for? A performing arts complex, a swimming pool, a junior high to get the little kids out of this building, etc? Use SketchUp to improve our school campus. Somewhere in the design give us a courtyard with trees, benches, and outdoor tables/chairs. Don't forget roads and sidewalks to bring the old campus and new areas together, maybe more parking.
