Personal Assignment Requirements

All Assignments

bullet Spell-check your document. If there are any obvious spelling or grammar errors, minus 2 points for each.
bullet The document(s) you create have to have a topic and make sense. You can't just do all the steps without having some subject to tie everything together. (20 points)

Office 1

bullet Word (WordPersonalAssignments) Save each into the appropriate Word chapter folder . There is one personal assignment per chapter in Word.
bullet CH 1: Create a flyer that could be used now(school event, personal, church, etc) using what you learned in Chapter 1
bullet CH 2: A Career Paper in Word (see handout) make sure you have inserted citations, footnotes, and works cited; formatting like the project from Chapter 2
bullet CH 3: Design a letterhead for yourself; personalize it, make it your own, do not use one of the book designs(it should have images on both sides of your name)
   
bullet Excel (ExcelPersonalAssignments) Save each into your Excel folders. There is one personal assignment in Excel.
bullet Coffee Shop Game and Spreadsheet(see handout)
bullet PowerPoint (PowerPointPersonalAssignments) Save into your PowerPoint folder. There is one personal assignment in PowerPoint.
bullet A PowerPoint document with at least 10 CONTENT slides in addition to the header slide (topic is your choice)
bullet Pictures, Shapes, WordArt, sound, video, and effects on at least 1 slide (ALL SLIDES MUST HAVE CONTENT, WHAT GOES ON EACH IS UP TO YOU)
bullet A chart
bullet Transitions
bullet If you have to look anything up you must have a proper works cited slide; also photos that are not yours should be cited(THIS WOULD BE SLIDE 12+)
 

Office 2 - The topic or subject matter for your personal assignments in Office 2 is your choice

bullet Word (WordPersonalAssignment)
bullet Module 4: A document with a title page, table, smartart and watermark (at least 2 pages)
bullet Module 6: a form letter, mailing labels, or a directory (Create a database with at least 6 people in your database to be used in your document) Save both the original and merged file. Make sure the database is in the same folder.
bullet Module 7: A Professional newsletter with nameplate, pullquote and graphics (1 page)
   
bullet Excel (ExcelPersonalAssignment) There is one personal assignment per chapter in Excel.
bullet A data table (module 4) Use the What if Analysis Data Table to calculate percentage rates of a loan or savings account.
bullet Multiple worksheets in a workbook with a formula that spans more than one worksheet (module 5) Create at least 3 worksheets where the data from two worksheets is consolidated into the third.
bullet A database with at least one criteria and extract range, use conditional formatting in one column (module 6) Use the advanced filter to extract the data to another location.
   
bullet PowerPoint (PowerPointPersonalAssignment) There is one personal assignment in PowerPoint.
bullet Create a PowerPoint Presentation with a minimum of 10 content slides in addition to the header slide
bullet Use a SmartArt graphic with images inserted, a chart, a table with image in table
bullet Insert slide footer content, save as PowerPoint Show, use presentation tools to setup Navigation, use hyperlinks and action buttons
bullet If you have to look anything up you must have a proper works cited slide (THIS WOULD BE SLIDE 12+)
