Until my actual trip, I can't put up any real photos of places we visited. However, until then, here are some representative photos of our trip and the stories that make them the sites of pilgrimages
Tomb of Saint Eulalia
St. Eulalia of Barcelona
A Spanish martyr, she is the patron sain ot the cathedral, the city of Barcelona, and of sailors. She was a thirteen year old girl killed for refusing to deny her faith.

The Romans subjected her to thirteen tortures; including: putting her into a barrel with knives (or glass) stuck into it and rolling it down a street; cutting off her breasts; crucifixion on an X-shaped cross; and finally, decapitation.

A dove flew from her neck after decapitation.

Fatima

Fatima
The Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God, appeared six times to three shepherd children ("The Three Seers") near the town of Fatima, Portugal between May 13 and October 13, 1917. The Blessed Mother repeatedly emphasized the necessity of praying the Rosary daily, of wearing the Brown Scapular of Mount Carmel and of performing acts of reparation and sacrifice.

Our Lady of Lourdes

Lourdes

In 1858 in the grotto of Massabielle, near Lourdes, France, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared 18 times to Bernadette Soubirous, a 14 year old peasant girl. She identified herself as The Immaculate Conception. She gave Bernadette a message for all: "Pray and do penance for the conversion of the world." The Church investigated Bernadette's claims for four years before approving devotion to Our Lady of Lourdes. Lourdes has since become one of the most famous shrines, attracting more than a million pilgrims each year. There have been thousands of miraculous cures at this shrine.
